Issue 8 has now gone to print with Newspaper Club. We have our usual Masterclass, reviews, comment and lots of lovely new poems.
We’ll be launching on Thursday 30 March in Galway City Library at 6.30 pm. We’d love to see you all there, but if you can’t make it you can buy your copy here.
The layout of the newspaper is a big part of what we love about Skylight 47. The order of the poems has been decided and our layout editor is in the process of setting them into their allocated space, beautifully surrounded by whiteness.
One more day to send us your submissions! Our window closes at midnight on 1 January 2017. Click here for submission guidelines.
We were invited to do a guest posting at this lovely poetry blog by British poet Abegail Morley. You can see the post here. And then do go exploring the rest of The Poetry Shed.
Here’s a link to the interview we did with Lagan Online, A Verbal Project.
Those of you who bought Skylight 47 Issue 7 may have noticed this photo on the inside front page:
We’re in among the other journals at the Poetry Library at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, in London. Skylight 47 is definitely spreading its wings!
We are now accepting submissions for Issue 8 of Skylight 47.
An excellent and attentive crowd helped us launch Issue 7 last night in Galway City Library. Caitríona O’Reilly read her wonderful poetry (see here for more about her and her latest collection) and launched the issue for us.
You can see photos of the event on our Facebook page.
Issue 7 will be launched on Thursday 29 September in Galway City Library by Caitríona O’Reilly at 6.30. We’re looking forward to some great readings! Get your copy there or order online.
We’re looking forward to Robyn Rowland launching Issue 7 at 2pm in Clifden Library.
