We had a fantastic Zoom launch of Issue 13 on Thursday, with over 100 participants at one point. Our readers were excellent, as were their poems. There was a thoughtful and interesting launch by Jane Robinson, and a beautiful reading of her work.

We’re very nearly sold out of copies, so thank you to all of those of you who have taken the trouble to support us. We can now have confidence in producing an Issue 14!

Countdown to Launch

We would like to thank everyone who has bought copies of Issue 13 before the launch – we are so grateful for your support. As of yesterday, there were only 37 copies left!

When we first decided to publish a physical rather than virtual version of the newspaper, we thought we would have to reduce the number of copies. Because of our pre-sales, we were able to go ahead with the usual run. We should have known we could rely on you, our loyal readers!

More Launch Details

We have a great list of readers for the night from around the world – as well as Ireland, we have poets from India, The Netherlands, the UK, the USA and Norway. We’re really looking forward to seeing and hearing them on Zoom on Thursday at 6.30.

And we’re really looking forward to hearing the poems of our launcher Jane Robinson, who will be reading from her collection Journey to the Sleeping Whale along with other poems.

Countdown to Launch of Issue 13

It’s an unusual launch, of course, but many of us have become used to this virtual world. And there is an advantage. For the first time we are able to welcome our contributors from abroad to this Zoom launch of Issue 13. More on that to come.
