Vona Groarke launched issue 6 at Galway City Library last night. She was very complimentary about the magazine.
The Galway Advertiser sent a photographer down to the event, so we’ll be in the press this week.

Only three days to go. Vona Groarke will launch Issue 6 at Galway City Library, 6.30pm. It’s also the 13th birthday of Over The Edge so guaranteed to be a great night.
We’ve finally had to put up our price – but only by 50 cents. Printing a small run in newspaper format is expensive – the smallest print run is usually 1000, far more than we could sell. Because of this we use an online company called Newspaper Club, based in Glasgow, who will print a single copy if that’s what you want. They are fantastic and very helpful, but we have to pay in Sterling, not great with the present exchange rate. That put the price up a good bit, and then Newspaper Club also raised their prices. Issue 5 was printed at a considerable loss, so we had no choice.
But it’s only 5 cents, and we’re still fantastic value for money, so I’m confident our readers will continue to buy Skylight 47.
Announcing the launch of Issue 6 on Thursday 21 January, 6.30 pm, in Galway City Library by Vona Groarke, acclaimed poet and editor of Poetry Ireland Review.
Readings by our contributors along with Nuala Keher & Stephen DeDurca.
We will also be celebrating the 13th birthday of Over The Edge.
Promises to be an exceptional night! Hope to see a good crowd there.
